Perseus and I

Is it that we are
delivered at birth
to this place
by the hand
of Perseus,
saddled in brilliant
bright light,
destined to be
unique?


Does the universe
mean to celebrate us
year after year
with nature's most
majestic display
of fireworks
we should behold?

So many questions
fly through my mind
when I feel this-
so close to God
and Heaven-
in the darkest light
beneath you.
